Launched 3 December 2014, Windhoek: The 5th International Symposium and Annual Conference of Partners of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Tourism, was hosted by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of the Government of the Republic of Namibia, in collaboration with UNEP, the Government of France, the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, the Hospitality Association of Namibia, the Tour and Safari Association of Namibia and Eco-Awards Namibia.  The 3-day event was launched in Windhoek, Namibia, 3 December 2014.


The theme for the 2015 International Symposium was: "Advancing Sustainable Tourism: Securing the Legacy of Our Cultural & Natural Heritage". The International Symposium was held February 23rd 2015 and featured a day of expert panel discussions exchanging best practices and advances in sustainability and was opened to the local public and participation from all tourism stakeholders.


The best of Namibia was featured in safari excursions and trips scheduled February 25th 2015.
